Lots of news since our previous podcast.

Secondly, we've just launched our monthly digital single series Office Supplies! Every month we'll be posting an exclusive (for the time being, at least) song by a different artist on our Bandcamp page. Every song will be "name your price" so it's free to download if you're a total cheapskate. To start us off is the band that closed out our Serious Rockers comp (how's that for continuity?) Snowmans of Love.

In other news, Big Quiet has a music video for "Maura & Dana," which premiered at The Deli Magazine NYC.

The Unblinking Ear Podcast 7/2/15

So here's an anomaly: a new podcast with nothing for me to plug. Sure, I could tell you that the Big Quiet 7" and the Kerbivore and SWIVS tapes are still available at the Unblinking Ear Records bandcamp page or that Big Quiet's record release show for said 7" will be Friday, July 17th at Pine Box Rock Shop in Brooklyn and will feature special guests Real Numbers, My Teenage Stride and Sunshine and the Rain. However, I'll refrain and let you enjoy listening to this edition of the podcast free from my shameless self-promotion.

So I've the main reason you've been listening is to hear me pop my P's, I'm afraid this is the end of the line for you. The year is nearly over. But before we put 2011 in our rearview, let's take a moment (or roughly 47 and a half minutes) to reflect on the year that was.

Below are selections from what I consider the best records of 2011. For those of you with obsessive compulsive disorder, don't fret. I'll be putting them in list form in the near future, along with many "honorable mentions."

I welcome all agreements/disagreements, Either post them in comments section or tweet them at me. But before you work yourself into a frothy rage over my selections, do try and remember that these things are subjective.

Back to our regularly scheduled programing. After our biannual "punkquinox" edition of the podcast, it's been a whole month since we've rolled out a "normal" podcast.
